How to Lower Blood Pressure with Nutrients

High blood pressure is a silent epidemic that threatens the lives of one in every three American adults. For those who take blood pressure medications, actual control rates vary between less than half to only two-thirds. And the effects are even worse in the elderly. That’s not exactly encouraging.


This means that the majority of those diagnosed with hypertension spend most of their day with blood pressure levels that are dangerously elevated. Since increased blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart disease, stroke, congestive heart failure, and kidney disease, it acts as an accomplice in millions of additional deaths each year.

Nutrients Shown to Lower Blood Pressure

Here’s an overview of the nutrients that can help you naturally manage your blood pressure. We’ve also included related clinical evidence for each nutrient along with basic dosing suggestions.

Are there other nutrients that might be beneficial in helping you manage blood pressure? Sure there are. However, since we’re an evidenced-based company and we always stay true to that, we only listed the nutrients that have human clinical research behind them:

Bone Density, Wrinkles and The Anti-Aging Pills

We’ve long known that sun damage and exposure to ultraviolet rays are a leading cause of wrinkles. Skin loses thickness as we age, meaning that any trauma to the dermal layer is more likely to linger.


While it’s well-established that these factors can cause wrinkles, new evidence suggests that lower bone density is also a predicator for wrinkles, and particularly in women.

Meanwhile, anti-aging pills, also referred to as Human Growth Hormone (HGH) releasers and supplements, have received much attention in medical circles, for their ability to treat a variety of aging symptoms, including lost muscle mass, even skin tone, and, notably, to reduce wrinkles.

Anti-aging pills can do many things, but can they increase bone density, and subsequently reduce wrinkles?

In a recent study, presented to the 2011 meeting of the American Society of Endocrinology in Boston, researchers studied 114 women, of whom all were within three years of their last menstrual period. The researchers studied the number of depth of their facial wrinkles, and their bone density at the hip, spine and heel, with X-ray and ultrasound.

The researchers also accounted for other factors for bone density, including age, race, body mass, and smoking habits. They found that the women with the least bone density had the worst wrinkles. And that the women with thicker skin had stronger bones.

The study, though currently unpublished in medical journals, concludes by suggesting that skin and bone tissue may share the same protein, type 1 collagen, and that the protein is lost, or at least decreases, during menopause.

While the findings are preliminary, they would account for lost collagen and an increase in wrinkles common in women around menopause. The researchers note that some wrinkles were more indicative of lost bone density than others, especially between the eyebrows, just above the nose.

More research is needed, of course. But the study raises the possibility not only that bone density and wrinkle formation might share the same cause, they might also share a solution. If a lack of type 1 collagen is responsible for wrinkles and bone density, would boosting the protein treat both?

In theory, yes. And it might come as no surprise that proponents of anti-aging supplements list a variety of benefits, among them being better skin tone, greater muscle mass, and, notably, fewer wrinkles.

Anti-aging pills are natural supplements consisting of amino acids, peptides and botanicals, many of which that have been used by civilizations in Europe and Asia for their energy-boosting qualities and ability to stimulate the sex drive. When combined, they’re designed encourage the pituitary gland to release growth hormone, the same hormone responsible for cell growth and regeneration.

HGH releasers encourage the body to produce hormones lost during menopause and the process of aging, therefore, it’s not a huge leap to suggest that they might also boost production of type 1 collagen – the same protein that could affect bone density and formation of wrinkles.

Among their purported benefits, users of HGH releasers report increased energy and improved results from exercise. Considering that resistance training is essential to bone health and thickness, this alone might increase bone density, and suggests that anti-aging supplements might reduce risk of osteoporosis.

Moreover, HGH supplements might reduce wrinkles with colostrum. That’s a form of milk produced by the mammary glands that may boost immunity, and increase bone density and lean muscle mass.

Keep in mind that wrinkles form for several reasons. Lifestyle, smoking and diet can all cause wrinkles and accelerate the aging process.

But it’s interesting to note the possible link between wrinkles and bone density, and that anti-aging pills might treat both.

Enzymes are synergistic; in nature enzymes do not exist singly, rather many occur together in foods, the presence of one enzyme will often potentate the effect of another one in a mutual way, for example, enzyme 1 may have a immune complex or virus dissolving power of 3, and enzyme 2 may have also a dissolving factor of the same i.e. 3, but both together can have a multiplication effect e.g. by the power of 9, rather than a simple addition. Raw foods are generally easier to digest than cooked food with some exceptions. It is difficult to digest large amounts of raw vegetables due to the amount of cellulose present, cellulase is an enzyme that can help cellulose digestion, but only to a limited degree, hence the importance of juicing vegetables rather than simply eating raw. Grains are also difficult to digest raw. The food items that we evolved to eat are actually still the most easy to digest and assimilate; the human system in terms of digestive structure and ability has changed little over millions of years, so the healthiest tribes and groups of people all around the planet are those that consume a diet of mainly raw food. One explanation for the obvious question "why does man cook food” is as follows. Man was originally a hunter gatherer, in this situation grains were rare, some roots and root vegetables were eaten occasionally, green leaves of various types more frequently, fruit at various times depending on climate, and animal meats. Fire was only used occasionally to cook food, all other animals eat their food raw, and it has shown by many researchers (whether one likes the idea or not), that raw meat, raw fish and raw eggs are far easier and more efficiently digested than cooked. The fact that man always cooked meat is an unfortunate myth. The problem began as man became more populace in certain areas, could not find enough hunter-gatherer food, and began to live in fixed locations. The discovery that grain could be grown and eaten if cooked may also be a main factor that led to the introduction of cooking.

Proteolytic enzymes are essential regulators and modulators of the inflammatory response. Any disorder ending in ‘itis’ can be helped and most usually is with Multi-Enzymes, these include chronic bronchitis, sinusitis, urinary tract infections prostatitis, cystitis and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) as well as providing relief for some of the most painful cases of ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. Conventional treatments of inflammatory diseases use drugs that unlike Multi-enzymes, can cause harmful side effects and do not remove the cause of the problem, largely enzyme deficiency, and unlike Multi-enzymes, such treatments do not improve immune system health. Multi-enzymes not only remove inflammation they allow the healing phase to proceed once the true cause of the chronic inflammation is resolved. Enzyme therapy has long been part of the methods of treatment of traditional medicine. Meanwhile, systemic therapy with proteolytic enzymes has become an important method of treatment in natural medicine. There is hardly any regulatory system in our body which does not depend on enzymes. Enzymes control coagulation and fibrinolysis, inflammation and complement activity, phagocytosis, wound healing and tissue regeneration as well as the specific and nonspecific defense systems. Here the enzymes function as biocatalysts. The idea of supporting the weakened or stressed human body in fighting disease by administering enzymes seems very reasonable. After all, the structures and various functions of some 2700 enzymes have already been discovered in the human organism.

The most important enzymes used in therapy are hydrolases, which split ester, peptide and glycoside bonds by introducing a water molecule. The tasks and goals of enzyme therapy are manifold. Enzymes are used to support the body in stress situations, such as chronic or acute inflammations, digestive disorders, vascular or malignant diseases. A further field of application for enzymes is substitution in enzyme deficit disorders. The classical examples of this are pancreatic insufficiency or blood clotting disorders due to deficient clotting factors. Each enzyme has different effects. It is therefore reasonable to use combinations of enzymes to ensure a sufficiently broad spectrum of effects and via synergism for greater efficacy. Enzymes promote the body's own regeneration processes. Certain proteolytic enzymes possess pronounced anti-inflammatory and anti-oedematous properties. They promote the breakdown of toxic metabolites and inflammatory products and thus contribute substantially to the detoxification of the human body. Simultaneously, the additional fibrinolytic activity of the enzymes and the "vessel-sealing" effect of rutin accelerates the blood flow. Together with the dissolution of fresh blood clots (microthrombi), this allows normalization of the microcirculation. This especially applies to the enzymes Serrapeptase and Nattokinase. Therefore, the inflammatory products that mediate pain are eliminated more quickly, the improved blood supply enhances local oxygenation, and tissue tension decreases in parallel, the Medical data is for information only.  All of this provides some analgesic effect. In sharp contrast to the mechanisms of action of conventional non-steroidal and steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, systemic enzyme therapy thus does not block the natural healing processes of inflammation.

Proteolytic Enzymes Bring Relief to Sufferers of Lupus

Proteolitic Enzymes and Cancer
 
About 100 years ago, a British embryologist, John Beard, started the research concerning the use of protein digesting enzymes and the treatment of cancer. He had some successes using enzymes taken from the pancreas of young animals. He injected them into his patients and achieved some good results, but there were side effects from the immunological reactions to injecting components of raw pancreas into the blood stream. He was later followed by Kelly who treated thousands of cancer patients and claimed very high success rates.

Today, enzymes are produced by in large using bacteria, and their activity units are measured, so stronger and more effective enzyme blends are now available. Using large amounts of activity units of enzymes to treat advanced cancers requires clinical supervision, since the toxins released from the tumor break down, when there are large/many tumors present should only be achieved at the rate the system is able to detoxify them. For this reason we recommend a wider selection of remedies known to overcome some of the other causative aspects of cancer such as correcting cellular pH and overcoming oxygen deficiency at a cell level. Prof. Wolf wanted to continue the study of these wonderful biological agents, he noticed that by using purified mixtures of enzymes there were no risks of frequent allergic reactions. Each cancer cell has on the surface of its membrane, specific antigens. It is naturally ideal when the body can recognize these markers - by being released from the fibrin - because the cancer cell can be destroyed after this. Although the cancer cell is destroyed, however, the antigen remains. By means of a change in its membrane, the cancer cell can sometimes throw off its antigen. It seems that cancer cells do this, so that our defenses go in the wrong direction. Regrettably, this trick really works. If the number of formed immune complexes is kept within the normal limits and our defenses are all right, then our macrophages can embrace and dissolve these immune complexes. If the number of immune complexes is superior to the strength of the macrophages, then some immune complexes remain not dissolved in the blood, as well as in the lymph. By means of a complicated mechanism - we talk about activation and aggregation of thrombocytes - it promotes a greater formation of fibrin, by depositing the un-dissolved immune complexes in the tissue. This normally diminishes the body’s defenses, and this is especially dangerous in the cancer situation. The immune complexes can weaken the body's defenses in another way. Too many immune complexes inhibit the activity of the macrophages, which are the main destroyers of the cancer cells. Their capacity to destroy and to clean out the system is paralyzed. Thus cancer cells can grow without being bothered by macrophages. What the enzymes do to help, is that they discover the receptors. Enzymes also facilitate the reaction of recognition. Another important action of the enzymes is to improve immunity, which is done by breaking the circulating immune complexes, by activating the natural killer cells and the T-cells, and also by inducing mediators and cytokines, such as TNF, Tumor Necrosis Factor.   Enzymes have the ability to reduce the thick fibrin layer which is abnormally 15 times thicker than normal. By reducing this fibrin layer the stickiness of the cancer cells is also diminished, and by this means we can prevent metastasis.   The world-famous professor and doctor from Vienna, Dr. Wrba, states that enzymes are a new approach to cancer treatment. There are two main factors in the treatment of cancer cells 
  • defense of the host and 
  • virulence of the cancer cells. 
As has been already said, systemic enzyme therapy increases the defense mechanism, that is, improves the recognition reaction of the cancer cells, plus lowers its virulence. In doing so, Wrba feels that this action causes modulation of the cell membrane, uncovers the cell surface and receptors, improves immunity, facilitates the recognition reaction and reduces the stickiness of the tumor cells.

What's a Bad Diet?

You are what you eat. It's a saying as old as written history. Throughout every culture, people have known this simple truth since the dawn of Man (and Woman). But before we can even talk about the consequences of "bad" food choices for a nation, we have to engage in some honest talk about what "bad" foods really are.


It's a sobering discussion, too, because most people follow atrociously bad diets... Including many people who think they eat a fairly healthy diet. Perhaps 90 percent of the U.S. population eats a "bad" diet right now.

The official government definition of a bad diet is nonexistent. The USDA wants Americans to eat more of everything: More dairy, more meat, more grains, and even more sugar. That's because these are the industries served by the USDA. In their minds, "poor nutrition" just means people aren't eating enough dairy, meat, grains and sugar. The USDA remains stuck in the mindset of the 1930's when people were literally starving from a lack of calories. So their policy incessantly remains "Eat More!"

But Americans don't need to eat more. They need to eat less. A lot less. And especially less of the highly toxic, disease-promoting foods described below.

Here are the characteristics of a bad diet:

• Primarily consists of dead foods (cooked, microwaved, etc.)

• Primarily consists of processed foods (milled, bleached, etc.)

• Lacks large quantities of fresh, living fruits and vegetables.

• Avoids adequate water hydration (and focuses on manufactured beverages).

• Very high in processed sugars and processed carbohydrates.

• Contains genetically-modified foods such as corn, soy or sugar from GM sugar beets.

• Includes a large amount of processed, pasteurized dairy products such as cow's milk.

• Is made with hundreds of different chemical food additives from MSG and aspartame to chemical preservatives.

• Is packaged in toxic food containers, including plastics and epoxy resins that contaminate the food with BPA.

• Primarily consists of conventionally-grown, pesticide-contaminated foods.

• Contains a large quantity of unhealthy oils such as corn oil, soy oil or partially-hydrogenated oils.

• Consists of a large number of fried foods or foods cooked at very high temperatures that destroy nutrients while creating carcinogenic compounds.

• Is made with many modified, unnatural ingredients such hydrogenated oils, refined sugar (which removes the minerals), homogenized milk fats, and so on.

• Consists of a large quantity of animal products.

Perhaps 90 percent of the U.S. population currently eats a diet that's largely consistent with the above description.

This diet is a diet of death that delivers physical and mental impairment.

This diet causes rapid aging and the aggressive development of degenerative disease: Cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer's disease, etc. The population also remains highly susceptible to infectious disease.

In a nation that follows a bad diet, health care costs spiral out of control, eventually consuming a quarter (or more) of the GDP, driving the nation into bankruptcy.

Growing up on this bad diet, children suffer severe cognitive impairment and are unable to learn in school. In time, academic achievement of the nation falls sharply, and the great "dumbing down" of the population accelerates.

A sick, diseased population is very expensive to maintain on the payrolls of Corporate America. Poisoned by processed food diets, workers suffer from repeated sick days and poor cognitive performance at work (inability to focus, failure to learn, failure to create new ideas, etc.), all of which make the workforce increasingly expensive for corporations to maintain. Not surprisingly, this causes yet a further shift of jobs to other nations where workers are more productive, healthier and less expensive.

With their brains fueled by junk foods (and with failed education giving them few options for earning an honest living), more people turn to crime. In time, the prisons become filled with people incarcerated for behavior that could have been at least partially prevented with proper nutrition.

With disease rates skyrocketing, violent crime on the rise, education failures rampant and health care costs bankrupting families, happiness plummets to all-time lows.

As junk food consumption continues through multiple generations, the genetic integrity of the population erodes. Birth defects increase while fertility rates plummet. The population increasingly becomes haunted with unhealthy genetic mutations that promote yet more disease in future generations.

Poor nutrition leads to disastrous economic productivity. Powered by junk foods, the population becomes virtually useless as a workforce. Instead of producing new ideas, new products and new innovations that improve the world, people sit around eating Fritos and watching YouTube videos. Economic productivity plummets, and employers shift jobs to overseas markets where people often demonstrate much higher levels of productivity.

With its population falling behind the world academically and economically, the nation loses its leadership position on the world stage and begins to lose its leverage for maintaining the dominance of its currency.

When the voters subsist on a bad diet, their minds are clouded and child-like. They are easily manipulated to vote for politicians who are essentially "entertainers" - people who look good on TV but have no real ability to improve the long-term situation for the country. Voters on junk foods elect the very people who continue to drive the nation into disease and disaster.

The Importance of pH Management During Detox

In its natural state, the body is slightly alkaline. It must maintain this slightly alkaline state for your very survival, and has developed complex mechanisms to ensure that this balance is maintained. Most of us are natural alkaline producers in our early years. However, nearly everything we are exposed to - foods, environmental toxins, even stress - contribute to an acidic condition in our bodies, and over time our natural buffer systems become less efficient at neutralizing that acid. We go from being in a more or less continuous alkaline state to having chronic acidosis, or chronic excess acidity. 


If the acid wastes of metabolism, and other acidic toxins are successfully leaving the body, the urine pH will reflect this by being acidic, at about 5.5 - 6.2. If BioRay’s Liver Life formula is given to a person with liver dysfunction, their urine pH goes down and the conductivity comes up, and of course, they feel much better because the acids are now leaving the body. If one drains these acids, one also sees the saliva pH gradually return to where it should be, at about pH7, or alkaline.

Stabilizing saliva pH can take longer than urine, months sometimes, so be patient with it. The more efficient you are at keeping the urine pH at 5.8, draining the acids, the sooner the saliva pH will respond towards normal alkalinity at 7. The goal is a saliva pH of 7 and a urine pH of 5.8. The longer they stay this way, the better a person generally feels, and the easier it is to treat other imbalances in their system.

The quality of the food we consume is central to our health. Every cell and tissue in our body is built, repaired and fueled from the foods, fluids - and yes, toxins - which we consume. Because the volume of food we consume is greater than the volume and impact of the remedies we consume, diet has to be adjusted in order to reach a successful outcome. It may take you some experimentation to find the foods that allow your pH's to stay in normal range, but it is well worth the effort - and remember to chew each bite to a liquid.

Heavy metals are acid forming, and NDF is very effective at neutralizing them and pulling them out of the body- but it is important to do this slowly. Using Liver Life first is a simple safety measure to ensure that all of the acids can are removed before any provocation takes place. If you keep the pH's in normal range by adjusting the dosage and frequency of the remedies and water intake, you will be more likely to feel good in general during detox with NDF. This is a very safe and effective way to prepare for, manage and speed up heavy metal detox.

One cannot completely correct excessive acidity prior to heavy metal detox because the heavy metals are acidic and acid forming by a multitude of pathways. The patient might be taking loads of minerals, eating alkaline forming foods, regulating their elimination, practicing stress relief, yet the first morning saliva pH stays acidic (= pain and low energy). Once the metals are removed, the restoration of the alkaline reserve proceeds more smoothly.
